DepthOffset
Depthsaremeasuredfromthetransducertotheseabed,butyou
canapplyanoffsetvaluetothedepthdata,sothatthedisplayed
depthreadingrepresentsthedepthtotheseabedfromeitherthe
keelorthewaterline.
Beforeattemptingtosetawaterlineorkeeloffset,ndoutthe
verticalseparationbetweenthetransducerandeitherthewaterline
orthebottomofthekeelonyourvessel,asappropriate.Thenuse
thedepthinstrumenttosettheappropriateoffsetvalue.

Ifanoffsetisnotapplied,displayeddepthreadingsrepresentthe
distancefromthetransducertotheseabed.
Settingthedepthoffset
1.Fromtherelevantconventionalorsmarttransducerpage
highlightandselectDepthoffset,
2.HighlightandselectDepthfrom.
Youwillnowsetthepositionthatdepthshallbemonitoredfrom
onthevessel.
3.Highlightandselectfromthefollowingchoices:
•Keel
•Transducer
•Waterline
AfterselectingyouwillbereturnedtotheDepthOffsetpage.
4.HighlightandselectOffset.
5.UsetheUPandDOWNbuttonstoadjusttheoffsettothe
requiredvalue.
6.PressSAVEtosavetheoffsetvalue.
Note:Incorrectdepthoffsetmayleadtovesselrunningaground.
