ontheantennaunit,particularlyifthiscablehasbeenextended.
2.Satellitesignalblocked.
Checkthattheantennahasaclearviewofthesky.Satellitesignals
canbeblockedordegradedbybuildings,otherboats,orequipment
onyourboat.
3.Outsidesatellitecoveragezone.
Yoursystemwillprovideexcellentreceptionwithintheantenna
coverageareaforyoursatellitetelevisionservice.However,signal
qualitymaydegradeasyouapproachtheedgesofthiszone.Refer
totheinformationon“Satellitecoverageareas”tochecktheviable
coverageareaforyourantenna.
4.Radarinterference.
Theenergylevelsradiatedbyradarunitscanoverloadtheantenna
circuits.Ensurethatyourantennaisinstalledasdescribedin
accordancewiththewithregardscorrectlywithrespecttoyourradar
unit,asdescribedintheplanninginformationforSTV.
5.IncorrectorlooseRFconnectors.
Allconnectionsshouldbecheckedaspartoftheregular
maintenancerecommendedbyRaymarine,toensurethattheyhave
notbecomeloose.AlooseRFconnectorcanreducesignalquality
orcausetheantennanottowork.
6.Multi-switchinterference.
IfyouhavemultipleIRD’sconnectedtoyoursystem,makesurethat
youareusinganACTIVEnotPASSIVEmulti-switch.
7.IRDtroubleshooting.
YourIRDmaybethecauseofunsatisfactoryoperation.Checkthe
IRDscongurationtoensureitisprogrammedfortheareainwhich
youareoperating.UnplugtheIRDfromthepowersupplyfor15
seconds,thenreconnectandallowthesystemtoinitialize.
8.LNBfault.
IfyouhaveanLNBfault,contactyourlocaldealer,national
distributororRaymarineProductSupportforfurtherassistance,
TheLNBmayrequirereplacing.
