Creating a New Route
3. Pressthe USE WPT LIST softkey; theMAKE ROUTE screen is displayedwith
itsassociatedsoftkeys.
TheavailableWaypointsarelistedinthelefthandcolumn(alphanumeric);the
righthandcolumnliststhewaypointsintheNewRoute,thenumber indicates
itsorder intheroute.The lower partofthetableshows position,bearingand
rangeof the highlightedwaypoint.
You use the trackpad left/right to move control between the two columns (the
highlighted title indicatestheselectedcolumn)andthetrackpadup/down to
scrollthroughthe lists.
4. Selecta waypointfromtheWaypointListthen go to the New Route col-
umnand select a positionin the list.
5. Pressthe INSERT WAYPOINT soft key to placethe waypoint belowthe
selectedpositioninthe Route.Youcanhave up to 50 waypointsinaroute.
6. To removea waypointfromthe New Routecolumn, highlightthe way-
pointand presstheREMOVE WAYPOINT softkey.
Notes:(1)Awaypointcannotbeusedmorethanonceinaroute;thosealready
usedare displayedin a lightershadeof gray.
Notes:(2)TheINSERT WAYPOINT or REMOVE WAYPOINT actionadds/removes
thehighlightedwaypoint to/fromthe Route column,regardlessofwhichcol-
umnisselected.
7. Whenall waypointshave been entered,presstheACCEPT ROUTE softkey
(or ENTER) to completethe route.
Note:The completed routeisstoredin the displayunitand willbere-dis-
playedifyouturntheunitoffthenonagain.However,onanintegratedsystem
itis possibleforacurrentroutefromanotherunitto overwritethis route;it is
therefore recommendedthatyousavethe route, as describedin Savingthe
CurrentRoute on page 5-22.
