Press this softkey to see a directory of the
waypoint
memories.
When the
WAYPOINT
LIST
page appears, use the
1
(up)
/
3 (down) numeric
keys (one at a time) to scroll through the memory listings in either direction.
When either key is held down, the scrolling operation speeds up so memories
can be accessed more quickly.
If you want to store a new
waypoint
or edit the existing information of a
selected (highlighted)
waypoint
memory, place the desired memory number
in the highlighted MEMORY
#
block. Then press the
m
key. You can
quickly change the name, symbol, or coordinate data of any waypoint
memory this way.
3.6.3 Naming Waypoints
As soon as a waypoint memory location is selected by one of the methods
available from the Waypoint Directory, the NAME WAYPOINT display ap-
pears.
On this display you can select various symbols and/or letters to
"NAME"
the waypoint. The name can consist of up to 8 char-
acters. Each character “selected” at the

Repeat this operation, selecting characters or symbols and pressing the
softkeys, until the name is completed. To leave a space, you may press the
