4.4 The chart display
The main features of the chart display are as follows:
4.5 Where am I on the chart?
Your current position is represented on screen by a boat symbol. If positional data has
been selected for display (see
page 11-2
), your position will be displayed in the data
bar under VES POS.
Note:
If neither heading nor COG data is available, the vessel is shown as a solid circle.
If you cannot see your boat, press FIND SHIP. The chart is redrawn with your boat on
screen. To change the amount of chart ahead of your boat see
page 38
.
To mark your current position with a waypoint, press WPTS/MOB twice. For more
information on waypoints, please refer to the waypoint chapter.
