Selecting a Waypoint
Positioning the cursor overa waypointselects thatwaypointand accessesthe
waypointsoftkeys.ThesekeysenableyoutoGOTO (describedinSection 5.5),
EDIT (symbol,name,position),ERASE orMOVE thewaypoint.
Selecting awaypoint from theListallowsyou to GOTO andEDIT (symbol,
name,position,erase)thewaypoint.The WaypointListalso providesoptions
tomakeanewwaypointand transferwaypoints.
➤ To selecta waypointusingthecursor:
1. Movethecursorover the waypoint,until thelettersWPT are displayed.
TheWaypointDatabox(seeWaypointDataDisplayonpage 5-12)andthe
followingsoftkeys are displayed:
Theselectedwaypointcan be editedvia thesesoftkeys.
➤ To selecta waypointusingtheWaypoint List:
1. PressMARKS,followedbytheWAYPOINT LIST softkey.
TheWaypointListandassociated softkeys aredisplayed.
Thelistdetailsall waypointsinalpha-numeric order.The selectedway-
pointis indicatedby theselectionbar;itsposition,bearingand range are
provided.
2. Usethetrackpadtomovetheselectionbarupanddownthelisttohighlight
therequired waypoint.
Theselectedwaypointcan be editedvia the soft keys displayed.
Waypoint Data Display
Waypointdatacanbe viewed in two ways: you can usethe context-sensitive
cursortoselectthe waypointand thusdisplaythewaypointdata box, or you
canviewwaypointdetailson thewaypointlist.
Note:To permanently displaythe target waypointdata box, selectit in the
SystemSet Up menu(see Section 7.3) and use the SCREEN soft key toswitch
databoxes on.
➤ To displaythe waypoint databox,movethe cursor overthewaypoint.
Thewaypointdataboxisdisplayed,thisindicateswaypointnumber/name,
bearingandrange(or latitudeand longitudeif selectedin system setup).
Whilethe cursor is overthewaypoint, thewaypoint softkeysaredisplayed.
