Data Log Mode
Note:If the displayunitis receivingRTCM datavia NMEA,repeatinga dif-
ferential fix from anotherunit,the MODE softkey issettoAUTO and is grayed
out.If receivingRTCM data,the settingmust be performedmanuallyonthe
externalDGPS receiver.
3. To seta new beaconmanually, press BEACON SELECT, use thesoft keys to
setthe requiredbeaconfrequencyand bit rate.
PressENTER to returntothe Differential GPS Setuppop-upwindow.
Thestatusoftheselectedbeaconis displayedin the pop-up.
PressENTER to returntothe NavigationStatuswindow,thenENTER to
return to the MENU softkeys.
6.7 Data Log Mode
Youcansetthe chartplottertologcoursedata every thirtyminutes.Up to48
logentriesareheld,when48entrieshavebeenmade,thechartplotterwillstart
overwriting the firstentries.
YoustartthelogusingsoftkeysprovidedinDataLogMode.Whenyouselect
DataLogModethelogisdisplayedfull-screen.Ifthescreenisfull,youusethe
trackpadtoscrollthe listandview furtherlog entries.Eachlineinthelog
shows:
•Timeoflogentry
• Position at time of logentry
• CourseMade Good (CMG) since lastlogentry
• Distance MadeGood (DMG)sincelast log entry
Onceyouhaveenabledthedatalog, data is continually logged,but youmust
setthe displayto Data Log Mode to view it. Youuse the DISPLAY key to
changethe full-screen mode.
You can stopthe log atany time and you can clearthelog from memory.
Ifthechartplotterisswitchedoffwhilethelogisrunning,adashedlinewillbe
displayedbeforethe firstnew entry sinceswitchingthechartplotter on again.
➤ To activateData Log Mode:
1. PressDISPLAY,theDISPLAY pop-up is shown.
2. PressDISPLAY again,untilLOG is selected,thenpressENTER.
➤ To startrecordinglog entries,pressthe START LOG softkey.
AsshowninFigure 6-5,thechartplotterrecordsthetimeandvesselsposition.
Everythirty minutesthe time,newposition,distancemade good and course
madegoodarerecorded.
TheSTART LOG softkeychangesto STOP LOG.
